Who operates this site

Mud News Package is an independent publication and storyworld operated by Manuel A. Dominguez. Contact manueladominguez@mudnewspackage.com about purchases, access, privacy, or rights concerns.

Website use

You may browse, read the First Arc, and play the free shift for personal, lawful use. Do not interfere with the site, test private systems without permission, bypass access controls, upload malicious code, scrape private information, or use the service to harm another person.

Fiction boundary

DISSONANCE, Neo New Orleans, the Board, the Union, Mud News Package witness records, and The Canopy Standard are fictional. Public records inside the storyworld do not report real emergencies, agencies, treatments, or public services. Educational material teaches recordkeeping habits and does not provide medical, legal, financial, or emergency advice.

Direct digital purchase

The direct offer is DISSONANCE First Edition, edition serial DIS-FE-20260716-0001, delivered as EPUB, PDF, and DOCX files for $12 USD plus any tax Stripe shows before payment. Stripe hosts checkout and processes card data. A purchase completes only after Stripe confirms payment to the server.

Delivery and recovery

Mud News Package emails private, bounded download access after a validated payment event. Check spam or filtered mail first. Contact the address above with the purchase email if delivery fails. Do not post or share private delivery links.

Digital license

Your purchase grants one person a nonexclusive, nontransferable license to read the files on personal devices and keep reasonable personal backups. It does not transfer copyright. You may not resell, redistribute, publish, upload, share, adapt, train a model on, or remove ownership notices from the files except where applicable law gives you a right that these terms cannot limit.

Refunds

Digital sales are final after successful delivery except where law requires a refund or when Mud News Package cannot provide the purchased files after a reasonable support attempt. Duplicate charges, inaccessible files, and incorrect delivery should be reported promptly. Amazon purchases follow Amazon’s terms and refund process.

Intellectual property

Site text, artwork, game writing, publication files, names, logos, and original presentation belong to their respective rights holders. Limited quotation, commentary, review, and other lawful fair uses remain subject to applicable law.

Commons conduct and user content

The Commons is non-canon. Submit only content you have the right to share. Do not post threats, harassment, private information, impersonation, spam, illegal material, or unsafe links. You keep ownership of your writing and grant Mud News Package a nonexclusive license to host, display, format, moderate, and preserve it as needed to operate the Commons. You may request export or deletion through the available account controls.

Moderation

Mud News Package may hold, limit, remove, or preserve contributions to enforce these terms, respond to reports, protect users, comply with law, and maintain thread integrity. Available appeal controls do not guarantee restoration.

Privacy and third parties

The Privacy Notice explains local progress, accounts, community data, security records, email, and commerce. Stripe, Amazon, ChatGPT sign-in, hosting, and email providers apply their own terms and privacy practices. Links to third parties do not imply control or endorsement.

Availability and limits

The site may change, pause, or retire features to repair faults, protect data, or comply with law. Free game progress stored in your browser can be lost if you clear storage or the browser blocks it. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that applicable law does not allow a party to exclude.

Governing law and disputes

California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, contact Mud News Package and allow a reasonable chance to resolve the issue. Any court proceeding must use a court with lawful jurisdiction over the dispute. Consumer protections that apply where you live remain unaffected.

Changes

A new version date will appear at the top when these terms change. Direct checkout requires the version displayed at the time you begin payment. Material changes do not rewrite a completed purchase retroactively where the law does not permit it.
